National Association Medical Staff Services Celebrates the Success of NAMSS Annual Conference

WASHINGTON - Oct. 23, 2015 - PRLog -- The National Association Medical Staff Services (NAMSS)’s 39^th Educational Conference and Exhibition concluded on Wednesday, October 7 with a record number of over 1,600 attendees and almost 600 virtual conference registrants participating in Seattle, Washington for five days of professional networking, practical education, and high-quality leadership development.

“This year’s conference and exhibition brought together dedicated Medical Services Professionals (MSPs) from across the country, reinforcing NAMSS Annual Conference as the premier industry event,” states President of the Board of Directors, Linda Waldorf, BS, CPMSM, CPCS. “We continue in our mission to provide direct access to a broad network of experts, valuable resources and education in order to further enhance the development of medical services professionals.”

This year’s theme of Embracing Change: A Journey of Leadership emphasized NAMSS’ focus on encouraging those within the MSP community to become leaders and serve as valuable resources within their roles. The conference offered attendees the opportunity to learn from established leaders within the medical services and credentialing profession, as well as the ability to connect with their peers and NAMSS leadership. Activities included four pre-conference workshops, 40 concurrent sessions tracked by areas of focus and level of experience, multiple networking events, and an interactive exhibit hall of vendors showcasing valuable industry resources.

The conference’s focus on leadership and professionalism was further highlighted with innovative event offerings, including a Leadership Lounge, where attendees connected with experienced MSPs; Tea Time with the Board, which allowed attendees  to  meet with NAMSS leadership and ask questions; Dine-Arounds at various downtown Seattle restaurants; and complimentary professional headshots.

The conference also featured two keynote sessions by comedian and international keynote speaker Judy Carter and SmithBucklin Corporation President and CEO, Henry Givray. Carter’s opening message of using humor as a transformational tool for self-promotion set the tone for the five-day conference. Givray’s closing message resonated with and inspired attendees to tune into their own leadership capabilities through self-discovery and active, personal engagement.

With the success of the 39^th Educational Conference and Exhibition, NAMSS is already looking forward to next year’s highly anticipated event. NAMSS 40^th Educational Conference and Exhibition will take place in Boston, MA, September 17-21, 2016.
