Follow on Google News | Tenth Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive begins at City View PharmacyAngie Xidias, General Manager of City View Pharmacy, said the food drive started small and has grown into a meaningful tradition. "When we opened City View Pharmacy in January 2006, we were the 'new kids on the block' -- and so thankful just to be here. Later that year, at Thanksgiving time, hosting a small food drive seemed like a nice way to pay it forward. Now, ten years later, our annual food drive has become something of a neighborhood tradition. Before we even set out the boxes, our employees and Neighbors ask when they can bring their canned food in. It's really humbling to see how generous people in our community are," Ms. Xidias said. City View Pharmacy's Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive runs now through November 25th, and periodic updates will be posted on the pharmacy's facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/ Canned food items and other non-perishable foods may be dropped off at City View Pharmacy, 23-07 Astoria Blvd. between 23rd and Crescent Streets. Please check expiration dates and be sure all packaging is labeled and in good condition.
