"10th Annual Holiday Toy Drive" Begins at City View Pharmacy

ASTORIA, N.Y. - Dec. 2, 2015 - PRLog -- Now through December 21st, City View Pharmacy will host their 10th Annual Holiday Toy Drive. This year all donated toys will benefit The Blue Child Project, which collects and delivers toys to sick children in New York City hospitals on Christmas day.

Harry Xidias, Pharmacist/Owner of City View Pharmacy, says the annual toy drive started small in 2006, and it's hard to believe that ten years have passed.

"As City View Pharmacy looks forward to our 10th anniversary next month, I'm thrilled to say our Holiday Toy Drive has grown along with us. When we heard about The Blue Child Project, we were touched. It was started by a small group of friends who decided to go into hospitals in NYC's poorest neighborhoods and give really sick kids a chance to experience the magic of Christmas on Christmas day. At City View Pharmacy, we know how important it is to put a smile on a patient's face when they're not feeling well, so it feels like a natural fit for us to support the Blue Child Project's misison," Mr. Xidias said.

New, unwrapped toys may be dropped off at City View Pharmacy, 23-07 Astoria Blvd. between 23rd and Crescent Streets, now through Monday, December 21, 2015.
