City View Pharmacy Free Summer Yoga in Astoria Park Begins!

ASTORIA, N.Y. - June 1, 2016 - PRLog -- City View Pharmacy's Free Summer Yoga in Astoria Park program will meet Wednesdays at 7pm, from June 1st through August 31st, 2016 in Astoria Park.

General Manager Angie Xidias said, "We started the City View Pharmacy Community Wellness Program™ five years ago with Free Summer Yoga in Astoria Park because we realized that taking care of your body not only means taking your medications but also getting some exercise. Yoga strengthens the body and mind, and it's easy even for a beginner to get started. Astoria Park is the perfect place to reconnect with nature and enjoy the outdoors during the summer. I'm excited that the community has embraced our program and now looks forward to it! Special thanks to Nick and Juan, our instructors from Yoga Agora, another great business in the Astoria community, for partnering up with us year after year. We are excited and can't wait to see our Neighbors, old and new, doing yoga with us at the park!"

The group meets in Astoria Park, in the grassy area between the RFK Bridge and the pool. (Enter a the parking lot and proceed along the path toward the river.) All are welcome. Class will cancel due to inclement weather, so check for notifications posted on the City View Pharmacy facebook page. Participants should wear comfortable exercise-appropriate clothing and bring a large towel or yoga mat.
