This hoverboard has two hub motors of 350 watts each that propel the rider at speeds of up to six miles per hour. Lithium-ion batteries from Panasonic make it possible to go approximately 12 miles or two and half hours on a single charge.

The unit itself weighs 22 pounds. This sideways looking skateboard is only 23 inches in length and supported by 6 ½ inch tall tires. The self-balancing electric scooter operates in a similar fashion to a Segway. A person simply needs to lean forward in order to begin gliding. Turning is completed by the tilt of a foot. Accelerating involves leaning further forward on the scooter. There are pressure pads featured on the deck designed to detect movement and tell the hoverboard about direction and speed. Gyroscopic sensor platforms provide all of the necessary sensory information. A zero turn radius makes the self-balancing scooter allows for 360° turns.
