Described as a “high-value legend” by Kelley Blue Book, they explained that the recent redesign, which includes two new engine options, has elevated the Civic to the top spot on their list for the year. Of course, it also took the Small Car Best Buy slot. There are quite a few “Car of the Year” awards out there, and while many of them have their place, they also tend to hand out an award and then be done with it. Kelley Blue Book focuses on vehicles in a way that can be helpful to new-car shoppers, and it's tougher than trying to find the “best” car in a crop of new vehicles. Engine performance, fuel economy, infotainment systems, nothing was without scrutiny. This resulted in a list of 12 Kelley Blue Book Best Buy Award Winners for 2016. The 2016 Honda CR-V took home the award for Small SUV, the 2016 Honda Pilot was named the Best Buy for Midsize SUVs, and the 2016 Honda Odyssey was the top minivan.
