Honda to Launch More Powerful, More Efficient 2017 Accord HybridThe 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid will be making its way to New England Honda Dealer showrooms this spring, bringing one of the most powerful and efficient hybrid engines yet.
American Honda Motor Company's executive vice president, John Mendel, spoke to the return of the Accord Hybrid, saying, "The new Honda Accord Hybrid is the ultimate Accord - the most refined, technologically sophisticated and, of course, most fuel efficient in the lineup … We think this new hybrid model will add considerable momentum for the Honda brand." Many drivers had lukewarm responses to hybrid cars when they first arrived, and even recent models have had a hard time shaking the stigma of being a boring, slow, conservative car. The updates to the Accord Hybrid's powertrain, features, and style should put that stigma to rest. * Each 2017 Accord Hybrid has an engine with 212 hp combined from the electric and gasoline motors, and drivers will notice a torque response that beats the average gasoline engine thanks to those electric motors. * Not only did the car receive a power boost, its fuel economy numbers are rising as well. Despite recent adjustments to how the EPA rates vehicles, the 2017 Honda Accord will have one of the best ratings in its class at 49 mpg in the city, 47 mpg on the highway, and 48 mpg combined.* With three different trim levels and three different driving modes, it's clear that Honda has done well to make their new hybrid a car that nearly any driver could love. For more information on the 2017 Honda Accord Hybrid, including when it will be available for a test drive, readers can contact a New England Honda Dealer. When the Accord Hybrid hits the streets, they will be some of the first ones to know. *Based on 2017 EPA mileage ratings. Use for comparison purposes only. Your mileage will vary depending on how you drive and maintain your vehicle, driving conditions, and other factors. Photos: https://www.prlog.org/ https://www.prlog.org/ https://www.prlog.org/ End
