Mexico Facility Announces Investment Casting Expansion

GUADALAJARA, Mexico - Jan. 11, 2016 - PRLog -- Engineered Metal Products, S.A. (EMP) announced a third expansion of the Guadalajara facility, increasing the building area to 45,000 square feet (4500 square meters).   The expansion of CNC machining, quality control, broaching, and painting operations will be completed in the summer of 2016.  EMP has conducted operations in Mexico since 2002, and currently has 91 employees.  The facility produces castings primarily in stainless steel, mild steel, and nickel alloys.  The investment cast parts vary in weight from a few grams to over 150 kg.  Additionally, low pressure aluminum permanent mold parts up to 20 kg can be produced.  Some of the highest volume products made at the facility are marine propellers, natural gas orifice valves, and precision cast shapes. The facility is well integrated into the North American supply chain with weekly deliveries to warehousing in Shreveport, Louisiana.  A more detailed summary of the plant operations is available online at www.investment-cast.com.
