Follow on Google News | Korean Cultural Centre organized Musical Play at Amity International School, Pushpa Vihar‘Heungbu Nolbu’ was a musical play organized at Amity International School, Pushpa Vihar by Korean Cultural Centre, New Delhi.
By: Korean Cultural Centre India KCCI Director, Kim KumPyoung remarked said that this is for the very first cultural exchange program between theatre Seoul and Korean Cultural Centre India. He added that seeing both Korean and Indian artist on the same platform with same ease and comfort gave him immense pleasure. Indian artists with Korean troop are moving across the worldand spreading the message of brotherhood. The event was performed by little artists who had come across from all the way to Korea, Maxico and Chennai. The play was based on a Korean folk tale which echoes in every culture. The Indo-Korean troupe of children was specially chosen and trained for this production. The musical event was about the story of two brothers who had contradictory natures. Heungbo was a good, kind and someone who was willing to share what he had while Nolbu was-mean minded and miserly. It also premiered in Korea recently and won critical praise. The Director, Kevin Kim painted Korea on stage with resplendent traditional costumes, musical instruments and the very Korean way of perfection. It was a visual treat to eyes and a peaceful message for soul. Students enjoyed it thoroughly. The message of forgiving and moving ahead together in life was showcased in such manner was thoughtful. Ameeta Mohan- Principal, Amity International School, while commented on the play”Entire show was fantabulous. The most important was the story line behind it. It showed that Korea and India are going with the same values and building up the relation with same ethics becomes easy and we can work on that. This kind of shows helps the students become fearless and express through eyes and expressions theme. the plays are becoming an integral part in India. Both the countries, India and Korea are deeply rooted to their values and cultures identically. This can be shown in the play as well.” This 60 minutes show featured 9 Korean and 2 Indian children. The Korean team was comprised of Yebin Kim, Seokhee Cho, Min Hur, Inyoung Choi, Juyoung Lee, Joeun Park, JoonhoIm, Nahyun Kim and Sihyun Lee while Indian artists were JayanthVenkatasubramaniam and Sanjana Sridhar.
