Sheryle DeGirolamo of Kensington Real Estate Brokerage Named 2015 CRS of the Year

BOSTON - March 14, 2016 - PRLog -- On January 12, 2016, Sheryle DeGirolamo, local REALTOR®and owner of Kensington Real Estate Brokerage, a real estate firm with offices at 214 North Main Street in Attleboro, MA and 30 Newbury Street, Boston, was honored at the annual meeting of Northeast Region Council of Residential Specialists. The meeting and awards dinner took place at The Chateau in Waltham, MA.

Ms. DeGirolamo received the CRS of the Year Award from the Council of Residential Specialists, and it was completely unexpected. Unexpected to Ms. DeGirolamo, that is--certainly not to anyone who has had the privilege of working with her. "Each year, The Northeast Region of CRS recognizes a CRS member who makes a significant contribution to our organization, our industry and the community," says Richard Waystack, CRS Northeast Region President. "Sheryle, as a new member of our Leadership Team, worked tirelessly to enhance our organization over the past year."

Last September, Ms. DeGirolamo organized a collaboration between WCR (Women's Council of Realtors, the 11th largest business women's organization in the nation) and Council of Residential Specialists for an event featuring Leigh Brown, a real estate broker/owner, entrepreneur, internationally renowned speaker, and author of Outrageous Authenticity (http://www.outrageousauthenticity.com/). The event was attended by professionals representing the top 3% of the real estate industry, including leadership, officers, general membership, and new recruits.

"CRS" refers to Certified Residential Specialist; it is the highest professional designation awarded to residential sales agents, managers and brokers in the residential sales field. The credential, based on sales volume and continuing education, is held by fewer than 4 percent of all REALTORS®. The CRS designation is a symbol of excellence in the real estate industry:  through their education and leadership, CRS real estate professionals offer their clients a very high level of service.
