A New Focus For Asthma & Allergy Physicians Of Rhode Island

WARWICK, R.I. - July 26, 2019 - PRLog -- Asthma & Allergy Physicians of Rhode Island has provided patient-focused allergy and asthma healthcare for 25 years. Recently, AAPRI launched a new website to help patients learn more about the practice, philosophy, and services.

AAPRI's new website highlights the new focus of the practice: functional medicine. "I've always looked for the root causes of my patients' problems. More and more, we're discovering that allergies, respiratory symptoms, rashes, GI symptoms, food allergies/sensitivities, and constant fatigue are related to inflammation in our gut — our microbiome," said founder Dr. John F. Zwetchkenbaum, an MD who is certified in functional medicine. "Functional medicine enables us to treat the whole patient, offering integrated solutions that promote better health overall."

In Rhode Island and surrounding areas, AAPRI is the only practice that features functional medicine with a focus on allergies.
