Follow on Google News | Book Author Michael Mann Starts New Small Group Bible Study in Liberty Lake WashingtonJoin Micheal Mann, Author of Two Breads and The Kairos Letters
By: Micheal Mann, Author This is a whole different way of understanding the Bible more clearly through study of the metaphors and types that God uses repeatedly in the old and new testaments. We recommend it for mature Bible readers, but beginners can certainly benefit through group discussions. Participants will be asked to complete college-level homework assignments on their reading in the Bible (not my book) for discussion the following week, so it will provide a good opportunity to air out the difficulties we often experience with God and how he does things both in scripture, and in our own lives. Please be prepared to give 2-3 hours of personal study each week, unless you just prefer to "come along for the ride" and hear what others have discovered in their research. Some of our regulars come straight from work without having time to eat dinner, so we have made it out practice to bring pot-luck or take-out food to share. Please bring food if you want to, and don't bring any if you don't want to. If you would rather eat at home this is fine with us, come as you are. We will serve communion, as the communion meal of bread and wine is the main subject of my book, and a central theme for this study. We hope this practice will have increasing significance for everyone as we move through the study. You can purchase a copy of our study guide, The Two Breads, from me directly at the 50% discounted price of $10. This price is for participants only. It is too new to be on Amazon.com yet, but you can also find it on my personal website, www.michaelmann.tateauthor.com. You can also download, for free, any of the previous small group Bible studies we have done over the last 2 years from my website. I hope you will visit my webpage, find the Facebook link, and "like" it. We look forward to any newcomers. Please bring your Bible, your questions, your faith, and your honesty. End
