"Laugh More, Give More" - Comedy for a Cause

WINNIPEG, Manitoba - May 2, 2016 - PRLog -- CarMa Events, a local charity based event planning company, will be holding its third annual comedy charity event, "Laugh More, Give More Resolutions Party." The event will be held at the Qualico Family Centre in Assiniboine Park on Monday, May 9th, 2016 at 7:00 pm. All proceeds from the event will go towards two local women's programs, The Bravestone Centre and the Fort Garry Women's Resource Centre (FGWRC).

The Bravestone Centre is a local non-profit charitable organization that provides women and their children affected by domestic violence with full-time counselling and support programs while living in the safety of our program. The FGWRC is a non-profit organization committed to creating a community where women and children are safe, healthy, valued and empowered. FGWRC offers free supportive counselling, information and referrals, workshops and outreach programs. CarMa events will be using proceeds from this event to support needed renovations and supplies for these counselling facilities.

The cocktail style evening of comedy will showcase four female comedians Meghan Riley, Carole Cunningham, Lara Rae and Dana Smith.
