Acella Completes Renovation Project for Cardinal Spellman High School

BROCKTON, Mass. - May 5, 2016 - PRLog -- Acella Construction Corporation (www.acellaconstruction.com), a leader in construction management for greater Boston and the South Shore, announced today the completion of the interior renovation of the Cardinal Spellman High School, a private college preparatory high school located in Brockton, Mass.

The Media Center is the culmination of Acella's 6-year collaboration with Ai3 Architects, LLC, the architect for the project, and is the third phase of Ai3's masterplan for the school.

The scope of the project included the renovation of a 3,500-square-foot collegiate-style media environment for electronic media, student socializing, self-directed study, and collaborative teaching, featuring small-group student rooms that included interactive, touch-screen plasma and LCD displays and movable glass walls for flexibility and student collaboration.

Additional details of the project included custom maple and cherry millwork with aluminum reveal, column enclosures, wood ceiling panels, LED lighting, a structured cable package for fiber optic runs and Cat 6 cable for voice and data, and carpet inlaid with luxury vinyl plank.

Acella was selected for the project based in part on its extensive expertise with academic clients. The firm's education projects range from work with prestigious New England private and independent schools to higher education clients such as MIT, Northeastern, Boston College and Boston University.  Current independent school clients include Groton School and Thayer Academy.
