Newly appointed Archbishop of Bridging the GAPS Ministries visit with Arkansas nonprofit

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - June 23, 2016 - PRLog -- Archbishop J Myles Riley meets with Rev. Dr. Robinson, Better Community Development an outreach program of Theresa Hoover United Methodist Church to discuss their success in the community development sector. He along with representatives from the Republic of De Cote D'Ivoire discussed information and knowledge sharing opportunities between like-minded organizations.

Many of the same issues exist in the urban areas of the United States and rural areas of African and other countries. The public private partnerships between governmental bodies and community organizations are a key to success in the war on poverty.

Archbishop Riley states "This is an excellent example of how working together can help eliminate community issues at the local, state, and national levels. Many of the African countries are experiencing similar social concerns; we must be willing to share the best models and work together to better our communities globally. Our leaders must lead the people to the promise land even if its in their own backyard."
