ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - June 29, 2016 - PRLog -- Emergency Communications Network (ECN), North America's largest provider of critical and mass notification systems, is supporting the City of Daytona Beach in its efforts to prepare for the arrival of visitors this holiday weekend. ECN's product, CodeRED, is readily available to support the critical mass communications of businesses, residents, and visitors of Daytona Beach, Florida and its adjoining jurisdictions.

Through collaborations between local CodeRED member organizations and public safety, law enforcement, and other first responders, the CodeRED system will be used to inform area residents and visitors of traffic updates, weather warnings, emergencies, and other important updates throughout the weekend, as necessary. These same organizations will also use CodeRED to communicate with staff members dispersed across the region to assist with improved incident responses and outcomes. Residents, staff, and visitors are encouraged to register to receive text, email, phone, and CodeRED Mobile Alert app notifications to ensure all necessary information is disseminated quickly and accurately.

"ECN is focused on providing communities with fast and reliable critical communications to deliver the safest outcomes. We've been connecting people to the information they need for nearly two decades, and the safety of residents and visitors is our number one priority-especially when large events are held right in our own backyard," said David DiGiacomo, President and CEO of ECN. "We've been serving our home state of Florida for more than 18 years and are always pleased to work alongside our highly skilled local emergency managers, public safety officials, law enforcement and first responders to assist with enhanced communications, helping keep everyone alert, informed and positively impacting lives."

The Subway Firecracker 250 will take place Friday evening followed on Saturday by a special 60-minute concert and the 58th Coke Zero 400, both at the Daytona International Speedway. The brand new stadium, completed in January 2016, features 101,500 seats that are expected to be completely filled. And because Independence Day this year falls on a Monday, many business owners are also expecting steady crowds at local hotels, restaurants and businesses in the area, providing a continuous influx of people to the region for weekend-long festivities.

Residents and visitors to the area are encouraged to download the free CodeRED Mobile Alert app at the Google Play or App Store to receive to receive time-sensitive notifications directly to their cell phone. To download the app, visit: www.ecnetwork.com/codered-mobile-alert-app.
