CINCINNATI - July 28, 2016 - PRLog -- The 1450 members, officers and Executive Board Members of Laborers' Local Union 265 are proud to endorse Payne's candidacy as Juvenile Court Judge because of his "commitment to bettering the lives of working families".  The Local goes on to explain, "Laborers' Local 265 is committed to assist you by notifying and encouraging each one of our members and their families to support your candidacy."

Candidate Darrell Payne shares, "I humbly and gratefully accept the endorsement of the Laborers' Local Union 265.  Our campaign slogan is 'Vote 4 Payne- A Champion for Children'.  I'm the Champion for Children because I'm compassionate about kids and my background demonstrates it.  I have over 20 years' experience in the practice of law as a criminal defense attorney; I have over 20 years' experience in social work; and I have been a social work educator at the graduate and undergraduate level for over 20 years.  I've worked in the Juvenile Court as a Prosecutor, Probation Officer, and Public Defender.  I haveserved on numerous boards for various children's organizations around the city. I have also traveled to Haiti on three missionary trips to help build schools and group homes for underprivileged children. I have worked in all aspects of the juvenile system and understand the dynamics of juvenile court and its impact on children and families. Together we can build a Collaborative Community of Champions for Children that will engage individuals, families and agencies to form a winning alliance to help rehabilitate troubled youths and reunify families that pass through juvenile court."
