New Food & Beverage Team Hitting Homeruns at Phoenix Airport Hotel

PHOENIX - Sept. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- The Crowne Plaza Airport hotel is proud to announce the addition of three seasoned culinary veterans to head up their new food and beverage team line up. Two new staff members including Thomas Baca as the new Director of Food & Beverage, and Raymond Ladewig CEC CCE AAC as Executive Chef have joined the property's food and beverage team. Existing staff member Durwin Roan was recently promoted to Culinary Sous Chef at the Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel. All three boast exemplary backgrounds in the culinary arts, and plan to expand upon the hotel's approachable and affordable menus for travelers and locals alike.

Thomas Baca joins the team as Director of Food & Beverage; bringing over a decade of resort and hospitality experience, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality and Hotel Restaurant Management and an Associate's degree in Culinary Arts from the prestigious Scottsdale Culinary Institute. Previous experience at local resort and hotel properties includes tenure at the Scottsdale Camelback Resort, the Phoenix Marriott Mesa, Starfire Golf and Country Club, Arizona Golf Resort and Conference Center and Marriott International.

New Executive Chef Raymond Ladewig is in the process of pursuing a Master Chef accreditation while bringing to the table an impressive cadre of certifications, degrees and experience. The well-rounded Executive Chef has worked in fast casual and fine dining, as well as hotel experience at the Radisson Phoenix Airport Hotel and the Ox Yoke Inn Restaurant in Iowa. Additionally, Chef Ladewig holds a Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, is an instructor at St. Mary's Food Bank and an advisory board member for the Arizona Culinary Institute.

Rounding out the team as the new Culinary Sous Chef, is staff member Durwin Roan who has been a key player at the Crowne Plaza Airport Hotel since March 2013. He came to the property with extensive experience as a line cook and kitchen supervisor at American Express F&B services, serving up to 1500 clients and employees each day. Additionally, Roan worked front and back of house at INGRAIN; a fine dining restaurant open to students and the public serving four and five star quality cuisine on the ASU campus in Tempe, Arizona.
