New Corporate Group Sales Manager Hits the Ground Running

Ms. Young adds decades of qualified sales and relationship skills to the team in her new role as the Corporate Group Sales Manager. Responsible for developing and nurturing group sales within the corporate sector, Mary brings myriad successes and event experience to the table for the hotel, which serves as an attractive option for companies looking to host groups, meetings, events and trainings at the closest hotel to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Prior to joining the team at the Crowne Plaza Phoenix Airport hotel, Ms.Young served as Director of Meetings and CEO of Phoenix-based M.Y. Events, Inc. -- the company responsible for hundreds of well-known commercial and public events including the Great Arizona Beer Festivals in Phoenix, Tucson and Flagstaff, the W M Symposia and events for clients like StopAfib.org, HEUG, Arizona State University, Sun Sounds Foundation and more.

A Certified Meeting Planner (CMP), Mary's accomplished career includes professional memberships with Meeting Professionals International, Arizona Sunbelt Chapter where she served as a board member and participated in numerous committees, as well as being the recipient of the Meeting Planner of the Year award, and the Chapter Achievement Award.  She is a current member for the National Speakers Association and served previously on the Boards of Directors for both the Tempe Tourism Office and the Tucson Convention Center. Mary holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management with minors in Business Administration and Tourism from the University of Wisconsin - Stout.
