Ultimate Medical Academy Aids in Feeding the Less Fortunate

TAMPA, Fla. - Sept. 6, 2016 - PRLog -- Staff at Ultimate Medical Academy, a nonprofit education institution focused on healthcare training, joined with Women Helping Others of Tampa Bay, Inc. for a Feeding the Less Fortunate event at Borrell Park-Nebraska Ave Park on Aug. 27.

The event was dedicated to providing food, toiletries and other supplies to the community. Amid the necessities were also clothing, toys and hot to-go meals. UMA volunteers folded clothes, served food, packaged supplies together and more.

"It was a wonderful experience, full of kindness and generosity," said Hailey Wood, UMA's coordinator at the event. "It's amazing to see UMA staff show up to support those in need within their local community."

One volunteer, UMA Admissions representative Sixto Ward, joined with his wife Susan Ward and their ministry, Tampa Christian Fellowship, to donate hundreds of loaves of bread for the event. Visitors were able to take as many loaves as they needed.

"This is just one example of how our staff embodies UMA's spirit of giving and dedication to the local communities we serve," said Dan Soschin, vice president and chair pro-tem of UMA's philanthropy. "Our employees are eager to make a positive impact through volunteer events and generous donations."
