"We chose Umoja for unity. Now, more than ever, our communities, especially the African American community need to come together in unified effort." says Kathy Hines, Founder of Educare Resource Center. The National Museum of African American History and Culture (NMAAHC) is the 19th museum of the Smithsonian Institution and is located at the foot of the Washington Monument on the National Mall in Washington, DC. The museum provides for the collection, study, and establishment of programs and exhibitions related to African American life, history, art, and culture. It is a place where people can learn about the richness and diversity of the African American experience; it is a place of meaning, memory, reflection, laughter, and hope. Educare Resource Center, Inc. (ERC) is a 501 © 3 organization that was established in December 2006 as a nonprofit organization to bring awareness of the need for preventive health care options and available supportive programs and services. It provides supportive living program that provides housing assistance and life skills development to underserved populations such as veterans, youth, senior citizens, individuals and families. Educare Resource Center's mission is to provide community support for all in need of assistance with job search assistance, resume preparation and life-skills training to help persons lead a more productive life.
