By: harddy.com Christopher Grubbs and Joseph Gavica, co-founders of Harddy.com, developed the first online marketplace exclusively for succulents. Their decision to create Harddy.com was based on their industry experience and conversations with passionate members of the succulent community. "We built Harddy.com with our users in mind," says Gavica. "We wanted to provide the ultimate user-friendly experience with easy navigation and functionality throughout." Harddy.com allows customers to easily access detailed product information and images with the option to share information across all major social networking sites. Unlike other marketplaces that offer succulents for sale as something on the side, Harddy puts them center stage; where they belong. The categories and options make finding exactly what you're looking for easier than any other online marketplace. In 2013, Grubbs cofounded an ecommerce company selling succulents. "It started with the simple idea of supplying people with succulent cuttings," says Grubbs. "But we quickly saw an opportunity to sell terrariums and bulk succulents." They brought Gavica on board to create the content and marketing pieces for the website. Soon after they built their own succulent ecommerce website, and opened up stores on Etsy and Amazon. After many challenges, and long days, they perfected shipping living plants and glass containers across the United States. "Over time and with lots of feedback from our customers we got it right," says Grubbs. "We figured out the optimal process for shipping succulents that is now the best in the industry." "We saw an opportunity, devised a plan and took a chance," Grubbs says of his latest entrepreneurial endeavor. "Our experience in every aspect of the succulent industry has led us to build something we believe is truly special." Grubbs and Gavica are actively looking for creative, innovative succulent sellers who are tired of the traditional and expensive methods of selling their products online.
