American Paper & Twine Co. Announces The Third Teacher of the Week For The 2016 Titans Season

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Oct. 14, 2016 - PRLog -- American Paper & Twine Co., the Tennessee Titans and Georgia-Pacific Communication Papers announced Mr. George Pace from Sunbright School in Sunbright, TN, was selected as Teacher of the Week for the Cleveland Browns vs. Tennessee Titans game.

"It is clear to us that Mr. Pace is an excellent role model to the Sunbright School and community. We are pleased George is this week's award recipient, presented by AP&T, Georgia-Pacific Communication Papers and the Tennessee Titans."

Mr. George Pace was nominated by Sunbright School principal, Ron Treadway. Mr. Treadway said, "George is not just a good teacher, he is an EXCEPTIONAL teacher. He excels in any position and with any task he is given and more importantly his students ACHIEVE greater results under his leadership. Last year, George was asked to change from his 5th grade classroom teaching position of over 20 years and take over as computer technology teacher for the entire elementary school. The elementary computer training and achievement for the students had been very poor up to that time."

Principal Treadway continued, "With the state implementing more and more online instruction and testing initiatives, it was imperative that the students be ready to meet these new challenges. In stepped George Pace and within six weeks the computer lab had a fresh new look and feel and the students had a brand new outlook. It has been amazing to see what he has done for the students and the teachers. Mr. Pace also teaches several students during our Reading/Math Intervention times and is a tireless contributor to our school. Sunbright community (population 550) is a better place because of George Pace."

Each home game during the Titans' season, submissions are reviewed to find exceptional teachers. The winning teachers receive a gift basket full of supplies for their classroom and two tickets to see a Tennessee Titans home game. A new winner is announced for every Tennessee Titans home game and at the end of the season a 'Teacher of the Year' is selected. This deserving teacher will receive an award, a deluxe gift basket of school supplies and tickets to the December 11th Titans game vs. the Denver Broncos.
