HealthyWiser Nail Care Hack: The Secret To Fixing Broken Nails Is – A Teabag?

LOS ANGELES - Nov. 2, 2016 - PRLog -- Nails and teabags – these two are not related at first glance. You might have asked yourself how a teabag can be associated with nails. They are much related as a matter of fact, and many people have been amazed as to how teabags can fix broken nails in any occasion.

If you have experienced bumping your freshly polished nail to a hard material causing it to break apart, it is a very frustrating experience especially if you have spent hours to make your nails a beautiful masterpiece. The first thing that may come into your mind is to re-do the nail care all over again to match the broken one. But did you know that it only takes a teabag to make some minor changes to the broken nail without spending another set of hours to fix everything?

According to the website Style Caster, teabags are also used to cover up broken nails and strengthen the cracks without adding too much weight into it. They said that tea bags works very perfectly with nails because of being a paper that is thin and fibrous.

"Like its salon-only cousin, the silk wrap, tea bag wraps are a temporary but durable way to repair even the weakest or badly broken nails," Style Caster's Alle Connell wrote.

So with your personal nail care system and pedi manicure set from HealthyWiser, here's how you can take advantage of tea bags found in your kitchen. The materials that you will needing are the actual tea bag, scissors, a good base nail coat, a nail file, the nail color of your preference, and a top coat.

To start with, you will need to remove the entire polish from your broken nail including hand lotion and cuticle oils. After this, you may now cut the top of the tea bag and remove the leaves inside. You may set aside a container so you will not waste on the leaves for future use. Then, cut a small rectangle out of the tea bag that is around the same size of your nail, but be sure to make it smaller so it will not cover the whole nail size.

First is to apply the base coat and wait until it dries to a gluey finish. Then, you can place the tea bag cut out you made on top of the base coat, making sure that the broken part is totally covered. Flatten it out with your finger or a stick until no bubbles are seen in the tea bag.

It is important to note that the tea bag cut out has to cover around half of the nail and not the entire nail, according to Style Caster.

As the polish turns dry, you are advised to apply another layer of base coating and see if the tea bag is getting a little translucent with the application. There are instances when some extra tea bag will hang over your nail's sides so be sure to file them away in a single direction.

Then, it is time to file the nail face as you smooth out the tea bag with the nail. The website tells you that there should be not stopping lines with the paper. Use HealthyWiser's nail care system buffing tool to buff it, making sure that the nail is perfectly smooth. Then, you can put on another base coat layer.

With these easy steps to follow, you can always save time fixing your broken nails just by using a household tea bag you can find in the kitchen.
