Local Loan Originator Pamela Madore Now Offers Home Loans To Individuals With ITIN Numbers

AMARILLO, Texas - Nov. 3, 2016 - PRLog -- Up until recently,  a person with an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) has not been able to get a  mortgage to purchase a home.  Some lenders, however, have now opened the door to that opportunity.

An ITIN is issued by the IRS and is used by people who do not have a social security number or does not qualify to get a social security number.  The IRS uses this number to collect taxes on reported income.

"There are many people in our area that have worked steadily on their jobs for years and paid taxes but can't get a social security number," says Madore.  "These people are not able to get any government associated mortgage. Lenders that offer the mortgages for ITIN borrowers are not government associated."

Pamela Madore, a Licensed Loan Originator, now has the ability to offer mortgages for individuals with ITIN number.  The mortgages require larger down payments than traditional mortgages and the interest rates are higher.  Borrowers have to qualify to meet lender guidelines but are not Qualified Mortgages as defined by the Frank/Dodd Act.
