LOS ANGELES - Dec. 3, 2016 - PRLog -- The L.A. Wolves FC may be top of the table in the United Premier Soccer League (UPSL), but must not look past one of Los Angeles' top club teams as it returns from a long Thanksgiving holiday break.

The Unbeaten L.A. Wolves FC will play host to Ozzy's Laguna FC at 6 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 4 at Toyota Sports Complex (555 Maple Ave., Torrance, Ca. 90503) in a UPSL Western Division matchup.

The Wolves, 11-0-0 this season, hasn't played a competitive match in more than two weeks.

L.A. Wolves FC President/GM Yan Skwara, "We've been away for a little bit but the holiday break was good for everyone. We are well rested a ready to go as we had some good training sessions this week to prepare for Sunday's match. Ozzy's Laguna is a top side and we have a lot of respect for them, but our goal is to take the maximum points. Our last match versus Ozzy's wasn't indicative of their team or their quality, and I think we'll see a different team this time round as they need these three points to help themselves into the playoff picture. Our squad is playing well as we will look to keep our own undefeated run going."

L.A. Wolves FC's fine run of form includes a 9-2 win over Inland Empire FC in Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup qualifying on Sunday, Nov. 13. The club then scored an 11-0 victory over Newhall FC in an Admiral Cup tournament game on Sunday, Nov.  6, and a 4-0 win over Pan American FC in league play on Saturday, Nov. 19.

Midfielder Paolo Cardozo had four goal in the U.S. Open Cup qualifying round win, which advances the team to the third and final round of qualifying for the 2017 tournament.

The current UPSL Western Division leaders have outscored opponents 51-4 during the Summer/Fall season.

"Playoffs are around the corner so we have to stay focused each and every match" Skwara said.

L.A. Wolves defeated Ozzy's Laguna FC, 5-0, in their first matchup on Sunday, Sept. 25.

Ozzy's Laguna FC (4-7-1 overall) continues the fight for a playoff spot, just three points out of third place in the Western Division but has dropped points in each of its last two games and is just 3-7-0 over its last 10 games.
