Independent Electrical Contractors Rocky Mountain (IECRM) and Its Members Win Big Nationally

NORTHGLENN, Colo. - Dec. 20, 2016 - PRLog -- Six Colorado energy industry companies received ten national awards for excellence in electrical construction, safety, and industry achievement, at the 59th Annual IEC (Independent Electrical Contractors) National Awards Gala, October 29, 2016, in San Antonio, Texas. Additionally, the IEC Rocky Mountain chapter was recognized as the IEC Chapter of the Year, Apprenticeship Chapter of the Year, and received a Membership award for reaching its annual growth goal. IECRM graduate Scott Sorensen with Eckstine Electric won 1st place in the national electrical competition and received recognition as the IEC National Apprentice of the Year.

The awards were presented at the 59th Annual IEC National Convention (IEC Con), a conference and expo attended by several of the 51 IEC chapters located across the United States, and the hundreds of electrical contractors and energy industry companies that belong to each chapter. More than 25 IECRM members attended IEC CON this year, comprised of apprentices, electrical contractors, industry partners, and staff.
