TriFam Sprint Triathlon event Hit Successfully

BATAM ISLAND, Indonesia - Dec. 18, 2016 - PRLog -- The very 1^st TriFam Sprint Triathlon 2016! The multi-sport challenges held from 9-11 December 2016 at Turi Beach Resort in Batam, Indonesia were run successfully.

Turi Beach Resort in collaboration with HiVelocity Events Singapore and SCC Travel Services, (a subsidiary of Singapore Cruise Centre) were delighted to introduce the very first TriFam Sprint Triathlon 2016!

TriFam held at Nongsa Resorts where all three disciplines divided by three location swim venue at Nongsa Point Marina, bike around Nongsa district area and run at Tamarin Santana golf course and prizes presentation held at Turi beach Resort.

In morning of Day 1 event, Saturday 10^th December 2016 – the Triathlon Workshop starts, the workshop provide participants with tips on open water swimming, transitioning and tackling different terrains held at Nongsa Point Marina Resort swimming pool and open sea water.

The Kids Aquatlhon Race begins in the afternoon, the race includes Swim and Scoot category for promising triathletes as young as 6-years-old, who swim 400m and scoot on two wheels a distance of 5km. Those aged 10 to 17-years-old can opt for the Boys and Girls Aquathlon category, with swimming distance of 400m held at Marina and running for 5km at Tamarin Santana golf course.

The day 1 event ends with Welcome dinner, featuring BBQ with live band entertainment and fireworks. Dinner event were also the opportunity for The General Manager of Turi Beach Resort, Sumantri Endang to greet and extending warm welcome to all TriFam participant. A brief orientation and slide presentation on detail TriFam race were also conducted by Adrian Mok the Director of Hivelocity.

On Sunday, 11^th December 2016 for Day 2, race start at 7 am after quick breakfast. All TriFam participants were walks from Turi Beach Resort via coast to Nongsa Point Marina, the race contains Open and Veteran Category with three disciplines swim, bike and run which were held in 3 different location – Swim (400m) at marina, Bike (16km) around Nongsa district and Run (5km) at Tamarin Santana golf.

In the same day, the prize presentations were held in the lobby of Turi Beach Resort followed by Indonesian lunch buffet. Prizes presentations were given to all Kid category, women category and man category winners. The first Men's Triathlon category holds by Roberto Carfagno from Italia, follow the 2^nd place hold by David Townley from Great Britain and 3^rd place hold by Paul Douglass from Australia.

Women's Triathlon category first position won by Sarah Harrison from Singapore, follow 2^nd place hold by Charyl Tay from Singapore. and 3^rd place hold by Lynda Scott from Australia, Meanwhile for Boys/Girls Aquathlon category hold by Rahmat Alam Semesta from Indonesia in the first position, following with Ang Jordan from Singapore in the 2^nd place and Marcus Mok from Singapore in the 3^rd place.

During the prizes presentation Adrian Mok from Hivelocity shared the story behind TriFam and Sumantri Endang as Turi Beach Resort General Manager of the resort were thank you to all of participants and supports for the successful event. This event also Attended by Mr Buralimar as The Head of Kepri  (Riau Islanders) Tourism Board, Mr. Antonio Hernandez from Nongsa Resorts and Ms. Annie from SCCTravel Services Singapore.
