Santa Clarita Storm to Play Pro-Premier Divison of UPSL

SANTA CLARITA, Calif. - Dec. 19, 2016 - PRLog -- -  Santa Clarita's Local Pro-Developmental team the Santa Clarita Storm just coming off a successful season in the United Premier Soccer League, will now prepare to step up on the next level of competition.  The Santa Clarita Storm is joining the newly formed Pro-Premier Division of the UPSL.

With the addition of new clubs, the United Premier Soccer League is the Western US's fastest growing Pro Development League. With this growth, it is the obligation of the league to continue to work and change to improve the level of competition for our players.
With that comes the introduction of Promotion Relegation -- United Premier Soccer Leagues Pro-Premier Division (Division 1), which is a tier above the Championship Division.
The Pro Premier division will be the highest league level in the UPSL structure.  This division will have minimum standards that will bring not only a higher level of play and attract a higher level of players, but will also present a much higher presentation of the game for both players and fans.

What the fans will notice is the professional presentation of the game. Each game will have a more professional presentation and will operate its game in a more professional matter.  The entire operation will be a more professional appearance and a more professional operation over all.
Top performing teams will maintain a Pro Premier league status and bottom teams not performing on the win loss column will be related to Championship division. Accordingly, the top Championship teams will move up to the UPSL Pro Premier as promotion for good league performance

This is the first and only true relegation system in the United States at this level of play.

The Storm was founded in 2006 and participated in the USL PDL and the NPSL before moving over to the UPSL. Both the PDL and NPSL were operating at the Pro Premier level so the Storm is familiar with the operation of a Division at this professional level.

The New season is scheduled to begin on February 11th and the time and location, full schedule will be announced shortly.
