New CookLikeaFoodie.com website launch

MANHATTAN, N.Y. - April 20, 2017 - PRLog -- COOK LIKE A FOODIE

The constant cook or the occasional chef in your circle would cook like a foodie more of the time----if only it was easier.

A small publisher, Red Rock Press, has asked notable cooks to show you how creating novel and delectable seasonal dishes and desserts is done: not by giving you lessons depending on hard-to-find ingredients and complicated preparation techniques but by providing you with easy-to-follow recipes incorporating interesting flavor combos.

The most important thing you bring to the prep counter, oven or dining table are your discerning taste buds.

Ta-dah! CookLikeaFoodie.com launches this week with a short menu of very special cookbooks suited for those who pay attention to what's on their own tables.  Among them are two books by three-time James Beard Cookbook Award winner Judith Choate and two by   travel/food book writer Nan Lyons whose celebrated movie classic, Who is Killing the Great Chefs of Europe? may soon be remade.

The sweetest entries on the CookLikeaFoodie list may be Cookies for Grown-ups, the debut book of California baker Kelly Cooper and More Than a Month of Sundaes by former restaurateur Michael Turback.  However there's not a too sweet recipe in Ms. Cooper's collection.  Half of the recipes are for cocktail cookies, i.e. home-baked hors d'oeuvres, and all cookie recipes are paired with an adult drink.

As for the Sundaes book, it will share Thomas Jefferson's vanilla ice cream recipe with readers while also giving dozens and dozens of sundae "formulas" from old-time ice cream counters or parlors.

Perhaps the most unexpected seasonings of the new site's books are the narratives spiced with humor, classical or comic art or truly digestible bits of cultural history.

Please check out CookLikeaFoodie.com.  And if you are planning to write about the new site or its contents, we'd be pleased to offer you one or two seasonal recipes relating to Mother's Day, Father's Day or summer's beginning.
