A natural creator of beauty and art, Sedric has been a part of Atlanta hair royalty for decades, since opening his inaugural salon Traxx International in 1999, which produced many of Atlanta's most notable modern-day celebrity hair stylist. With over two decades in the beauty industry, Sedric has a B.A. degree in Biology and Philosophy from Howard University and received his professional cosmetology license from Bennett Career Institute in Washington, D.C. He studied in Paris at the distinguished La Sorbonne, the world's oldest university, and is the first African-American to win the Grand Cup Afro category Mondial Coiffure in Paris, France.

Sedric has emerged from behind the chair and has developed a reputation as a master cosmetology instructor who travels and educates globally between New York, Atlanta, London, and Paris. His company, Lanard & Co. has produced the SedricLanard Luxury Hair brand, The East Atlanta Beauty Bar, and The Lanard Minx Lashes. Fluent in both English and French, Sedric uses his bilingual abilities to influence across cultures.
