Downtown Fort Lauderdale Set to Sizzle at the Riverwalk Burger Battle

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - Feb. 28, 2018 - PRLog -- The 9^th Annual Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale Burger Battle™ is set to fill the air with delicious aromas on Friday, March 23, 2018. Huizenga Plaza in the heart of Downtown is where the com-PIT-tition takes place from 7:00pm to 10:00 pm and will see top restaurants and burger joints vie for the title of Fan Favorite, Burger Nirvana, Best Bar & Grill, Best Burger Joint and Best Burger.

Over 1200 guests will be treated to a tasteful evening where grillmasters show off their creative juices and techniques which produce some truly unique creations.  Past Burger Battle™ selections included a peanut butter and jelly burger, one featuring maple-infused jalapeño jam and still others featuring everything from avocados to onion rings.  After sampling the burgers, attendees can vote for their favorite by placing their chip in the designated voting box.  The restaurant with the most chips wins the Fan Favorite trophy.  For the rest of the awards, an impressive panel of judges from the restaurant industry will rate burgers on texture, flavor, use of condiments, bread selection and more.

The 2018 contenders include: Bokampers, Burger Craze, Gulfstream Park, Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood, JWB Prime Steak & Seafood, Metro Diner, Pelican Grand, Pincho Factory,ROK:BRGR, Tucker Duke's and more to come.

In addition to the unlimited burger tasting, all event goers are treated to a French-Fry Bar sponsored by The Historic Downtowner (http://www.thehistoricdowntowner.com/) and live music from Smokin' J's Poker Night (https://www.facebook.com/SmokinJsPokerNight/).  The $45 general admission ticket provides guests with three drink tickets good for beer, wine or cocktails.  For those wishing to up their burger game, the $125 VIP experience includes early admission, specialty seating and an open bar.
