PRLog -- After sampling burgers and tasting ice cream, it's time to exercise for a cause. The Riverwalk Race (https://raceroster.com/
events/2020/

race) is a virtual competition to raise funds for Riverwalk Fort Lauderdale (https://www.goriverwalk.com/)
so they can continue their mission "to be the catalyst in building and nurturing Riverwalk as a vibrant community connected by the New River." The race will commence on August 24
th and run through September 7
th.
Participants register at the official Riverwalk Race website (https://raceroster.com/
events/2020/
33411/riverwalk-
race) and choose to compete in four categories: run/walk, bicycle/exercise bike, paddleboard/
kayak and treadmill/elliptical. After choosing their category and creating their fundraising page, the racers will encourage their friends and family members to donate to their page. The person who raises the most money during the two-week competition will receive a unique trophy and gift basket courtesy of Fit Factor Training (
https://www.fitfactortraining.com/). In addition, the first 100 participants will also receive a one-of-a-kind medal courtesy of URHealthBenefits (
https://www.urhealthbenefits.com/).
Throughout the two-week challenge, the participants will be cheered on by a race mascot in each of the categories. These mascots are Tyler Smillie for run/walk; Rene Cantu for bicycle/exercise bike; Chris Haerting for paddleboard/
kayak; and Mary Adams for treadmill/elliptical. All participants are encouraged to challenge one another to see who can go the farthest or raise the most money.
