Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan Proclaims March 21 "Smart & Sexy" Day in Detroit

DETROIT - March 20, 2018 - PRLog -- In celebration of Smart & Sexy Day, Jackets for Jobs, Inc. and The Alliance of Career Development Nonprofits offer nationwide events educating and celebrating working women. The events will prepare women to enter the workforce.

Women who attend Smart & Sexy Day will receive Smart & Sexy foundation garments from Smart & Sexy as well as job seeking skills training from leading local industry professionals and dedicated volunteers. Attendees will also be taught how to shop and build a professional wardrobe on a budget.

Women are making history – by achieving their goals, being smart and sexy – especially business women like Alison Vaughn, Monica Morgan and Latrice Macon.

While many may define sexy as miniskirts, swimsuits and stilettos, this event will discuss that true sexiness starts with confidence and a mogul mindset.

The event takes place at Jackets for Jobs Jackets for Jobs, Inc., 5555 Conner, Detroit, on Wednesday, March 21 starting at 10 a.m. with continental breakfast and ends at 1:30 after lunch and special speakers including:

Detroit Darlene Bulger, who will open up and discuss self-esteem. Followed by Monica Morgan, Award-winning Photographer who will discuss: Grit & Grace. Accepting Life's Challenges Head On.  Latrice Macon, Owner, The Styling Closet, will give a talk on the importance of image and style in the workplace.  And the final remarks by Vaughn will discuss "how she got smart (skilled) and sexy (confident) to succeed in her job search."

All ladies in attendance will be given gift bags with Smart & Sexy under garments and bra fittings by Jackets for Jobs staffers.
