L.A. Wolves FC to Face CaliGators FC in Cal South Adult State Cup Quarter Final

LAWNDALE, Calif. - April 6, 2018 - PRLog -- L.A. Wolves FC will face CaliGators FC of the SoCal Premier League in the Quarter Finals of the Cal South Adult State Cup at Silverlakes Sports Complex at 6 PM on Saturday April 7 in Norco, California.

L.A. Wolves FC booked a spot in the knockout phase after finishing top of Group D with two wins and a draw. The defending Cal South Adult State Cup Champions started the tournament with a dominant 5-1 victory over Long Beach City FC, but surprisingly couldn't find a goal in a scoreless stalemate with fellow UPSL side Lionside FC. One week later, L.A. Wolves FC had no problems in a 5-1 win over San Pedro Monsters FC.

L.A. Wolves FC Head Coach Felipe Bernal said, "We feel very confident going into the Quarter Finals of the 2018 Cal South Adult State Cup. We know there is a target on our backs because we are the defending champions, but this is only motivating us to play harder and be more focused."

CaliGators FC finished second in Group B after victories over Industry FC and FC Golden State.

The winner of the Quarter Final match between L.A. Wolves FC and CaliGators FC will face Santa Ana Winds FC or Chula Vista FC in the Semi Finals on Saturday April 14 at Silverlakes Complex.

The 2018 Cal South Adult State Cup Champion and Runner-up will qualify to the 2018 USASA Region IV Men's Amateur Cup Tournament.

L.A. Wolves FC defeated FC Long Beach 4-2 in the 2017 Cal South Adult State Cup Final.
