Wolves FC, which reached the 2017 U.S. Open Cup Third Round, near the top of the UPSL Pro Premier Western Conference table through six games (5-1-0 overall) in the 2018 Spring Season. L.A. Veteran strikers Mark Verso, Miguel Sanchez and Irvin Parra will look to break into the opponent's defensive third supported by the new guard of Wolves FC, young midfielders Julien Guy and Juan Quinonez. Currently among the leaders in the UPSL Pro Premier Western Conference after a 3-0 victory over Ontario Fury II on Sunday, April 29, L.A. Wolves FC next plays SFV Scorpions FC in a league fixture on Saturday, May 12. The club previously defeated Buena Park (Calif.) Football Club, 4-0, on Nov. 19, 2017, in Qualifying Round 3 to advance to its third consecutive U.S. Open Cup tournament. Wolves FC defeated Bellflower (Calif.)-based Real Sociedad Royals, 6-1, in Qualifying Round 1, and Irvine (Calif.)-based Vanquish FC, via forfeit, in Qualifying Round 2. The UPSL 2017 Spring Season champion, L.A. Wolves FC joins three fellow United Premier Soccer League clubs (Santa Ana Winds FC, La Maquina FC and Sporting AZ FC) in the 2018 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup.
