Follow on Google News | ![]() LPU organized an International Conference on 'Re-Envisioning Education Challenges and Opportunities'By: LPU Sharing his views, Guest of honour Retd Col Atul Bakshi, Head, Satya Bharti Abhiyaan said that they had already launched school program in the year 2000 in order to help underprivileged children and to create awareness among the youth of our country to realize their potential and further to help the needy ones. Similarly keynote speaker, Prof. Mohammad Akhtar Siddiqui, Professor & Chairperson 'National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE)' pioneering the long-term sustainability of the education system said, "Re-envisioning of the education will occur when students will learn to think and innovate traditionally, have education to meet social, emotional and family needs and some extra support to achieve greater academic results, health and wellness". Referring towards the students he further added, "Critical thinking cannot be provided by telling them, it can only be provided by making them practice it and I feel happy seeing LPU teachers doing the same". An eminent educationist with 22+ years of teaching experience, Dr Amit Kauts, Dean, Department of Education, GNDU, Amritsar said, "Artificial Intelligence is the latest advancement in the education sector and the same has been integrated into the curriculum of the students. Stressing on the role of a teacher he said, "A teacher should be committed to all students for their wholesome development" On the occasion, LPU Vice Chancellor, Dr Ramesh Kanwar said, "This conference was designed to 're-envisioning education' and I can proudly say that LPU is taking a lead role in preparing the workforce of the future (students). Our aim is to prepare students for the challenges after the university, students should be confident and wise enough to make correct decisions for their life". He also added, "LPU was fortunate to have heard such eminent and knowledgeable speakers sharing their lifelong experiences with students from different states of India".
