EcoBusiness Network Announces 2018 Durham Envirothon Champion

OSHAWA, Ontario - May 15, 2018 - PRLog -- EcoBusiness Network is pleased to announce the winning team of the 12^th Annual Durham Envirothon which took place on May 10^th, 2018. The Eco Raiders from Anderson Collegiate and Vocational Institute took home the title of Envirothon Champions after competing against 11 other tough competitors representing schools from across Durham Region.

The Eco Raiders applied the skills that they learned at the Envirothon training workshops, to receive top scores in soils, wildlife, forestry and aquatics. The Eco Raiders will now move on to compete and represent Durham Region at the Provincial Envirothon Competition, held at University of Waterloo from May 27^th to 30^th 2018.

Lead by EcoBusiness Network and organized by a dedicated volunteer planning committee made up of local conservation organizations, the Envirothon is a unique team building competition.  Participating high school students are given the opportunity to get outside and learn hands on from experts in various fields of environmental science such as Aquatics and Forestry.
