In 2017, the popular Indian restaurant at North Muskham near Newark went home with the Curry Life Magazine restaurant award for Best in Nottinghamshire 2017 and Best Takeaway of the Year 2017 for the then recently opened Ashiana Curry Lounge at Long Bennington in Lincolnshire. No other restaurant won more than one award on the night, leading host Michael Buerk to describe Saiqul as: "An entrepreneur in the Indian restaurant business," for opening an award-winning takeaway in addition to his already successful Indian restaurant."
