Newark Indian restaurant is shortlisted for major food award for second year in a row

NEWARK, U.K. - June 18, 2018 - PRLog -- The Curry Life Awards celebrate and honour the Curry Industry's standout professionals and is an opportunity to shine a light on those who have shown outstanding performance and achievement in the trade and culinary excellence.

Owner of the Ashiana, Saiqul Miah said: "We were amazed when we won two awards last year, and now we are stunned and honoured to have been shortlisted for an award again in 2018.

In 2017, the popular Indian restaurant at North Muskham near Newark went home with the Curry Life Magazine restaurant award for Best in Nottinghamshire 2017 and Best Takeaway of the Year 2017 for the then recently opened Ashiana Curry Lounge at Long Bennington in Lincolnshire. No other restaurant won more than one award on the night, leading host Michael Buerk to describe Saiqul as: "An entrepreneur in the Indian restaurant business," for opening an award-winning takeaway in addition to his already successful Indian restaurant."
