MIAMI - June 30, 2018 - PRLog -- Writer/Director, Peter Alexander, is set to direct a new short film from his own script. "Walkin' the Way" will be shot in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, Palm Beach County and Naples as well as other locations in South Florida. The film will tell the tale of two young people who unexpectedly meet and walk cross-state in what Alexander calls his most personal project to date.

"In my first three films, the scripts tended to focus more on characters in peril and thrust into a crisis with a lot to lose or gain," Alexander said. "This time the story is smaller with more emotional impact, and character exploration. I'm very much looking forward to working with some actors I haven't worked with in the past."

Alexander earned two Hollywood Florida Film Festival awards for Best Picture and Best Director in the student category for his film, "The Centenarian," as well as February's Best Sci-Fi Film at the Global Film Festival in Los Angeles. In June, the film also garnered an award at the Cosmic Film Festival for Alexander's father, Tom, for Best Musical Score.

The film will shoot for five days in mid-July. Post production is expected to begin in August, with a release date expected before year's end.
