Famed Artist Christopher Burns Unveils His Tribute to KING OF THE COWBOYS

CAVE CREEK, Ariz. - July 6, 2018 - PRLog -- Artist Christopher Burns has added to his fame with the recent showing of his latest masterpiece – an oil portrait of "King of the Cowboys" Roy Rogers atop Rogers' equally famous horse, "Trigger."

Rogers, an American singer and actor, was one of the most popular Western stars of the 1940's and 1950's.   The "King of the Cowboys" appeared in over 100 films and numerous radio and television episodes of "The Roy Rogers Show (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Roy_Rogers_Show)".  The world cheered when Rogers married Dale Evans, often his co-star in numerous films.  Evans would play the "damsel in distress" whom Rogers would always rescue from the outlaw gangs or the Native Tribes of Indians fighting the intrusion of the white invaders overtaking their lands.

Rogers' Golden Palomino, Trigger (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trigger_(horse), was always in view even when Rogers was not in Trigger's saddle riding the range.  Rogers' show was broadcast on radio for nine years and then on television from 1951 through 1957.

Says Burns, "I doubt that during the eras of the forties and fifties there wasn't a red blooded American boy (and also numerous young girls) who weren't fans of Rogers, myself included."

Burns, a horseman himself, has been capturing horses as well as exotic animals on canvas for nearly twenty years.   He now resides in Cave Creek, Arizona, a city known as the residence of artists.  In addition to his art originals, Burns often will offer prints of his work.
