Four Tomoka Eye Associates Staff Have Earned a Certified Ophthalmic Technician Certification

ORMOND BEACH, Fla. - Nov. 9, 2018 - PRLog -- Tomoka Eye Associates is pleased to announce that four members of their staff have earned their Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification.

Jennifer Reyes, Jennifer Bowerman, Jessica Ross, and Kendra Porter have received their COT. Jennifer Reyes has been with Tomoka Eye for five years, Jennifer Bowerman has been in the industry for 20 years and with Tomoka Eye for three years, Jessica Ross has been in the industry 14 years, at with Tomoka Eye for two years, and Kendra Porter has been in the industry for 16 years, and with Tomoka Eye for 10 years.

"We've had over eight team members this past year that received certifications and our goal is to have our entire staff certified within the next year," said Technical Training Manager Tracy Rodriguez. "We feel a certified staff delivers next level care," she added. Tracy has been in the industry since 1987.

Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) The Certified Ophthalmic Technician is the second core designation level confirming knowledge in 19 specific content areas specifically designed to test the Certified Ophthalmic Assistant or program graduate who intends to advance their career in the eye care field. The staff earned the certifications through the JCAHPO.
