Woman Boarding MTA Bus B41 Dragged Down the StreetWhile Attempting to Board an MTA Bus in Brooklyn, NY, Bus Driver Closes Doors on Woman and Drags Her Down the Street
As the client was boarding New York City Transit Bus B41 on October 6, 2017, at approximately 9:50 a.m., the driver of the MTA Bus closed the doors on her as she was boarding, which caused the bus doors to contact her shoulders and upper-body, as she screamed - the bus dragging her down the street. The client sought immediate emergency medical treatment and has been unable to work since the date of the Incident. As a result, the client sustained partial tears to both of her ankles; multiple disc herniations in her back; both left and right shoulder derangement as well as bilateral shoulder rotator cuff tears. The injuries sustained by the client necessitated her to undergo an anterior cervical diskectomy and fusion with corpectomy, which is a surgical neck operation. Michael J. Redenburg represents the client in a lawsuit filed in Kings County Supreme Court and has been recognized by three (3) different organizations which are invitation only and peer reviewed.
