Director of Tennis Bob Green to Retire From Pelican Preserve Town Center After 11 Years of Service

BRADENTON, Fla. - Aug. 23, 2018 - PRLog -- ICON Management Services, a growing management company for premier golf and country clubs and community associations in Florida, announces the retirement of Director of Tennis Bob Green from their luxurious coastal community Pelican Preserve Town Center, Fort Myers. Green has served the Pelican Preserve community for an outstanding 11 years. After his retirement on August 29, 2018, Raymond Major will be welcomed as the new Director of Tennis at Pelican Preserve Town Center.

During his 11 year tenure as the Director of Tennis at Pelican Preserve, Green developed a very active tennis program, including both competitive and non-competitive programs. As a result of his commitment to building the tennis program, this year (2018) the community will proudly have 18 competitive teams! Green has played a critical role in setting a robust tennis program that is and will continue to be enjoyed and appreciated upon his retirement.

Green has been a USPTA Elite Pro since he obtained his certification in 1982, bringing over 30 years of teaching experience to Pelican Preserve upon his arrival. He has been an active participant in continuing his tennis education, allowing him to bring the newest techniques to his instruction. His biggest joy was seeing novice tennis players develop their skills and to share his love for the game of tennis.

While the staff and membership are sad to see Green go, they are pleased knowing that his retirement plans will include endless tennis, cycling and enjoying life with his wife.  ICON Management and the Pelican Preserve team honor Bob for his contributions, resting confident that the solid tennis foundation he has set in place will continue to advance in light of his lasting impact.
