Berry will transform the tresses of two DFSH client ambassadors. She will also be on hand to share her styling techniques, stories of her time creating some of Prince's most iconic looks and to discuss her upcoming book, "Diamonds & Curlz – 29 Years With Rock Royalty Prince." (http://diamondsncurlz.com/) A second Kim, founder of Lamik Beauty, Kim Roxie will provide makeup for the DFSH clients. Lamik Beauty (pronounced la-MEEK), is the first eco-chic vegan makeup brand which includes facial care and eyelashes. Roxie will discuss her process for makeup application and how it makes women look more professional; Dress for Success Houston will also provide the two client ambassadors with interview suits to complete their professional polished makeovers. DFSH's goal is to empower women by suiting them in professional attire and give that extra boost of confidence. The hope is that a new look will transfer in how confidently they present themselves as they navigate their career search. Kim Berry is no stranger to giving back to her community. She has organized community awareness events around HIV and mammogram testing, sponsored food and clothing drives for the homeless, as well as given fabulous welfare-to-work makeovers aiming to motivate young women. The purpose of this dynamic collaboration is for women to come away with encouragement, motivation and tools which will help them realize their fullest potential.
