By: Lake Norman Orchestra Bring a lawn chair or a picnic blanket as the event is outdoors – seating is limited and fills up quickly. Pack your picnic basket and enjoy the casual outdoor afternoon atmosphere with friends and family while you enjoy great wine and music. It's a great opportunity to share springtime outdoors with your loved ones and enjoy the wine tasting room and art gallery. DogsRUs will be on hand providing amazing hot dogs and Italian sausage! We'll be celebrating with some sweet surprises too! For this family-friendly event, the admission fee is a cash ticket purchase, $10.00 per adult, payable at the vineyard entrance gate. For adults (21 and over), your ticket includes one glass of wine with a Davesté Vineyards souvenir wine glass and a donation to the Lake Norman Orchestra's fundraising efforts. Ages 16-20 pay $5.00 at the gate which includes entertainment and donation only – no ticket issued. Free Admission for ages 15 and under – no ticket issued. With more than 65 active all-volunteer members ranging in age from 15 to 70+, the LKNO is committed to forming community relationships, collaborating with other local organizations and to its outreach and scholarship programs. Often showcasing aspiring artists who participate as guests of the orchestra, including students from local schools and universities, the Orchestra is a proud partner with Mitchell Community College in support of its Associates of Fine Arts program. Cedeño studied conducting under the late Butler University Professor Emeritus Jackson Wiley and the Italian Maestro Ennio Nicotra. A founding member of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra, Director and Conductor of the Mérida Symphony Orchestra and Founding Member of the Coral Filarmónica de Caracas, Cedeño worked directly with acclaimed José Antonio Abreu. As a Founding Member of El Sistema, Cedeño continues to offer his time and talents to support its efforts in his community. Cedeño has collaborated with organizations such as the Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis, Indianapolis Opera, Charlotte Civic Orchestra, UNCC Opera, Carolina Voices and orchestras in Venezuela. Cedeño is Music Director and Conductor of the Lake Norman Orchestra in Mooresville, Music Faculty at Mitchell Community College, Orchestra Director and Strings Instructor at Gaston School of the Arts and Band/Orchestra Conductor at Langtree Charter Academy Upper School.
