SSPP Donates $1500 To Talbot Goes Purple

EASTON, Md. - Oct. 25, 2018 - PRLog -- To do more in the fight against the dangers of substance abuse, Saints Peter & Paul Schools donated a $1,500 check Tuesday, Oct. 23 to the Talbot Goes Purple initiative. Several SSPP students presented the check to Talbot County Sheriff Joseph Gamble, who helped spearhead the initiative's inception, on school grounds, showing the schools' commitment to this worthy cause. Last month, SSPP also "went purple" in an effort to promote the importance of the Talbot Goes Purple initiative by having purple decorations and holding a purple Tag Day. It decided to take its participation one step further in this crucial effort and gave the $1,500 check as a means for the Talbot Goes Purple initiative to expand its good works.

Launched in 2017, the Talbot Goes Purple initiative is held through the month of September and used resources, information, events and plenty of purple lights to spread awareness about how dangerous drugs and alcohol can be, especially to the youth in the area. SSPP is proud to support the initiative because it shows how serious the local community is about recognizing the existence of a substance abuse epidemic and that they are taking steps to stop it. All the students and faculty at SSPP stand behind the Talbot Goes Purple initiative and look forward to what it will accomplish next year.
