CARRHURE successfully filled ICARDA's Director of Resource Mobilization, Partnership, and Outreach

PARIS - Oct. 31, 2018 - PRLog -- International Center for Agricultural Research in the Dry Areas or ICARDA has selected Dr. Faraj El-Awar as the Director of Resource Mobilization, Partnership, and Outreach.

Carrhure was retained by ICARDA (https://www.icarda.org/) to search for resource mobilization and partnership experts in the field of agriculture with a focus on the drylands. After 12 weeks, Dr. El-Awar was officially appointed.

Under the supervision of the Managing Director, Ms. Auree de Carbon, the team has delivered quality recruitment services while upholding adherence and compliance to the requirements and specifications given by ICRISAT.

Dr. Faraj El-Awar has at more than 25 years of experience in diverse areas, focused around the nexus of advocacy, water and sanitation policy dialogue and development as well as the implementation of relevant planned activities at the global, regional, and national levels.

He has knowledge of Sub-Saharan Africa, South and South East  Asia,  the Pacific region, Latin America,  the Caribbean, South East Europe, and Arab countries where he was developing and supervising GWOPA's portfolio.

He has led GWOPA's resource mobilization program where he has succeeded in mobilizing more than 13 million USD in support of the Alliance, from traditional and non-traditional donor countries.

He has also represented GWOPA and led all its advocacy activities at high level political and professional international for a as well as building strategic partnerships with governments, UN and non-UN development agencies, non-governmental organizations, the private sector, and civil society groups.

In addition, he also led the establishment of the Arab Countries Water Utilities Association (ACWUA) and served as the first Secretary General of the Association.
