City Master Barbers of Old Bridge NJ Donated ten iPads To Childhood Leukemia Foundation

OLD BRIDGE, N.J. - Nov. 30, 2018 - PRLog -- One of the biggest and most successful acts of kindness to ever come from a world class salon and barbershop has happened recently. On September 22, 2018 history was made as City Master Barbers Salon and Spa of Old Bridge, NJ hosted their customer appreciation event to raise money to benefit the Childhood Leukemia Foundation. Over two hundred customers attended the event where there was a DJ, delicious food, face painting and prizes being handed out. City Master Barbers even donated 10% of the revenue for the day. "We are so thankful and excited that City Master Barbers raised enough money to donate ten Apple iPads to the K. Hovnanian Children's Hospital" said Kim Wetmore, Director of Development for the Childhood Leukemia Foundation.

There was months of planning, networking, social media promotions, meetings and execution to take place in order for this event to happen. "City Master Barbers just celebrated ten years in business and I wanted to do something special for the community just before we hit that ten year mark and this is what we came up" said Renat Nekhamiyev, owner of City Master Barbers. He added that "The ten iPads will bring joy to children dealing with cases of pediatric hematology and oncology."

The customer appreciation event included partnerships of local businesses such as All American Ford of Old Bridge, Starbucks, Mancini Pizza of East Brunswick, Shoshany Jewelers, Angelotti's Pizza and Trattoria, NYC Auto Leasing, Premier Realty Group, Ray Catena Mercedes Benz of Freehold, Mixed Greens and Grill and many others. "As I was planning this event I was completely blown away by how much support the community was giving us on a daily basis just by donating money for the cause" said Jessica Borr, Marketing Director for City Master Barbers.

There was a lot of local press and social media activity surrounding this event making it a unique, one of a kind gesture that was provided by a salon and barbershop. According to City Master Barbers these kinds of events will be happening more often in the future to drive awareness, give back to the community and just do something exciting. "I took every opportunity to go live on Facebook, create some videos around the event and take as many pictures to document highlights of this event" said Stan Sher, founder of Social Sher.
