Additionally, there are opportunities for Schools and Clubs to represent their campuses. Winston Ashby, founder of PARTI Program said, "20 years ago, the MLK Stop The Violence Event was formed to inspire youth and my community. I did not know it was going to change my life or connect me with so many talented young people. This year, we are going to make more memories!" In its history, the event is always conducted on a Saturday preceding the MLK National Holiday and Day of Service. Community gathers from all over Silicon Valley and the Bay Area to network at the VIP Reception with civic leaders, businesses, and youth organizations. Adult and youth supporters come out to receive the bullying prevention message and enjoy the Talent Show, Fashion Show, Youth Speakers, etc. The MLK Stop The Violence Event is supported by organization funders: Kaiser Permanente, Applied Materials, KLA Tencor, Valley Foundation, San Jose Water Company, and the City of San Jose. Proceeds benefit the PARTI Program and partners.
